Exercise is defined as any movements that make your muscles work and requires your body to burn calories. There are many types of exercise, all are good and beneficial as long as it is not harmful to your body.
Exercise is a natural mood lifter. It keeps you physically fit and able and helps keep the doctor away. It can lower blood pressure, regulate your blood pressure, prevent bone loss and also improves circulation. It is one of the most important tools you can control on a daily basis to manage your weight.
It is great to be active, and we strongly encourage you to move it very often. In fact, we have an entire module dedicated to it as it is such a big part of Metabolic Efficiency. However, we will be talking about intentional exercise as opposed to non exercise activity.
Orku provides three types of workouts for any fitness level: Metabolic, Cardio and Stretches.
Metabolic exercise is a form of circuit training that mixes strength and cardiovascular training. These workouts involve short periods of exercise (intervals, upper body, lower body, and core movements) alternating with a resting recovery period.
These workouts provide maximum results in minimum time and not only stimulate your metabolism but keep it burning for hours after you are done with the workouts. They are crucial in order to maintain proper Metabolic Efficiency and overall physical fitness.
We have three lengths of Metabolic Workouts: 12 minute (Metabolic Spark), 20 minutes (Metabolic Burn) and 32 minute (Metabolic Ignite). Aim to complete 2-4 of these workouts each week.
Cardio exercise is also known as aerobic exercise, which means “with oxygen”. During cardio workouts, you repeatedly move large muscles. Your heart rate increases and you breathe faster and more deeply. This maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood and ultimately helps you use oxygen more efficiently.
We provide cardio workouts you can do either on a treadmill, outside or inside if you have some room to work with.

Stretching is a fundamental component to your overall physical fitness. Stretching helps warm up the body prior to exercise and cool down muscles afterwards. It helps keeps your body in good alignment and reduces aches and pains. Stretching can help prevent injuries, decrease stress and give you a boost of energy.
When most people think of stretching, they think of it as only stretching their muscles, but stretching is incredibly important to our mobility and joint range of motion.We have Stretch Workouts starting at 2-5 minutes and encourage daily practice.
